Absa Islamic Banking was established in March 2006 as part of the Absa Group and Barclays. Absa Islamic Banking offers the Muslim community unique banking requirements, with solutions and services compliant with Shari’ah Law through 750 bank branches country-wide. In accordance with Shari’ah Law, all of Absa’s Islamic Banking solutions are non-interest based, while still offering a similar or better return on investment for their customers.
