Meezan Bank

Meezan Bank is the first Islamic Bank of Pakistanv, incorporated on January 27, 1997 and started operations as an investment bank in August that year. In January, 2002 Meezan Bank was granted the nation’s first full-fledged commercial banking license as a dedicated Islamic Bank, by the State Bank of Pakistan. Meezan Bank is the largest Islamic Bank in Pakistan with 201 branches in 54 cities. Meezan Bank's main shareholders include Noor Financial Investment Company in Kuwait, Pak-Kuwait Investment Company, and the Islamic Development Bank of Jeddah.
